Detailed Job Description

The Role: To promote Inclusive Education and build eco system to develop comprehensive education program for children with Physical Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Speech & Hearing Impaired and Multiple Disabilities in mainstream schools.. The Teacher will be required to:

  • Ensure Identification, Enrollment, Assessments and develop IEPs for all the identified children with Disability (Physical Disability, CP, Speech & Hearing Impaired and Multiple Disabilities).
  • Prepare plan and methodology for each child as per his/her ability/need and introduce alternative learning approach if necessary to ensure learning among CWDs.
  • Coordinate with Therapist for the fitment of Mobility aids & appliances and Assistive Devices for the required CWDs. 
  • Closely work with all the teachers of the model schools and ensure the disabled friendly environment along with the mainstream schools in support with the Coordinator and Manager- District Education.
  • Ensure periodical reassessments to check the progress of CWDs and record the same.
  • Support parents to access the available social entitlement and other benefits.
  • Ensure regular Goonjan entries, master list/consolidate data, reports and case studies in time and submit to Coordinator.
  • Organize and coordinate Capacity building processes for parents, teachers, peers and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure technical support to the team and staffs of RSO (Resource Support Organization) partners and others as per the plan.
  • Work on adaptation of syllabus and development of lesson plans.
  • Work with Senior Trainer- Mainstream Education to develop required Teaching Learning Materials and other resources for the program.
  • Actively contribute in weekly, monthly and quarterly review meetings. Update the challenges and support from the coordinator.
  • Work with Education Department particularly with SSA and RMSA to ensure the educational rights of CWDs under the guidance of Coordinator and Manager- District Education.
