Reporting to:
This position will report to the Director – Fund Raising and Marketing or any other person as designated by APD

7,00,000 to 7,50,000

  • At least five years of experience working in fundraising, sales, marketing or public relations
  • Experience in corporate sales would be preferred
  • Prior experience in an NGO would be an advantage
  • Must be prepared to travel

Detailed Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish positive relationships with clients in the corporate sector, including senior functional leaders in addition to the CSR team.
  • Prepare a marketing and fundraising plan for the segment that will meet the strategic goals of the organisation
  • Develop a plan for targeting and qualifying new donors with the objective of developing a base of qualified donors who can support the long-term funding needs of the organisation
  • Manage and keep updated organisation charts, CSR budgets and contact lists.
  • Prepare a competitive framework for each of our programs including an understanding of other NGO’s competing for the same funds.
  • Prepare press releases to submit to the local newspapers and ensure the release always goes up on the company website and social media accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Volunteer Programs to maximise effective utilisation of volunteer opportunities
  • Assign duties to junior members of the fundraising staff and periodically review those duties to make sure they are all progressing accordingly
  • Pursue efforts to keep a positive APD’s public image, which can entail creating and promoting events regularly.
  • Participate in preparation of budgets every quarter to determine what the fundraising department’s needs are going to be
  • Engage with Program teams to structure program features and proposals to make them more acceptable to clients.
  • Coordinate with Advocacy teams so that the mission of APD is advanced through a variety of channels and events.
  • Partner with other wings of the marketing team to enhance overall effectiveness of the department.
