  • Experience in working with senior levels in the Government, NGOs, corporate sector and civil society leaders.
  • Ability to negotiate and build long term partnerships.
  • Leading a team of district Staff and manage multi-faceted operations, functions.
  • Domain knowledge in development work with exposure to community and institutional approaches.
  • Good written and verbal communication both in English & Kannada
  • Domain expertise in Disability, field Experience in Disability.
  • Exposure to Karnataka State specially North Karnataka region
  • Experience in IT, technology in the programs, Operations
  • Experience in functional areas – Quality, Marketing, Fund raising, Human resources
  • Person with disability and Women candidates will be given priority
Detailed Job Description
  • Provides the overall programme support to fulfil the goals of the district programme.
  • Provide the local network and work with the local NGOs/RSO Partners and CSOs /DPOs to improve the operational excellence for effective growth of the disability sector
  • Work with Government departments’ district level to pro-actively develop operational framework for implementation of early stage Intervention and early education and other activities for PwDs.
  • Developing the annual district strategic plan in line with APD’s long term strategic plan and guidelines.
  • Ensuring that the plan is implemented through optimum utilization of APD resources and convergence of contributions from programme groups and relevant stakeholders.
  • Meeting plan targets in terms of annual strategic plans. • Developing, monitoring and managing budgets and forecasts based on district strategic plan.
  • Monitoring progress and submitting monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports to the management
  • Raising and fulfilling staff requirements in co-ordination with the HR department/vertical heads.
  • Ensuring Finance and Administrative processes are followed as laid out by the APD Head Office Finance and Administration management
  • Keeping yourself updated on developments in the sector growth, understanding APD’s vision and strategic guidelines and undertaking any such training that the organization may consider necessary for the performance of your duties.
  • Ensure an effective utilization of resources (Human and Financial) for sector growth.
  • Ensuring that the MIS databases are kept up to date with correct and complete information
  • Keeping yourself updated on developments in the sector and region, understanding APD’s vision and strategic guidelines and undertaking any such training that the organization may consider necessary for the performance of your duties
  • Carrying out all other duties as may be assigned by APD that are necessary for the success of the disability programme in your district
