Qualification:
BBA/MBA with specialization in Sales & Marketing/ Mass Communication / MSW with a flair for Marketing / sales /fundraising or any related field.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 - 12 years in a direct sales role
Salary:
65-70K

  • Spoken Kannada would be desirable but not mandatory
  • Comfortable with technology and social media to improve fundraising activities
  • Exposure to Government interaction would be value-add  

Compensation:  Salaries in the NGO sector do not commensurate with the private sector. If money is very important to you, we understand but this may not be the job for you. Our compensation package will comprise of a fixed salary and an attractive performance based incentive.

Detailed Job Description

The Role: APD mandate is to create awareness and sensitivity with all stake-holders including Corporates, Civil Society, Government, Academia, Health professionals, Researchers, Lawmakers, Foundations other NGOs, Care-givers and Persons with disability. Towards this end, the Dy. Director Fundraising will be required to:

  • Drive CSR fund flow into APD from new donors and existing donors.
  • Maintain highest levels of engagement with existing donors through structured donor delight programs.
  • Look for and empanel with new donors in the corporate sector (manufacturing, retail, banking, IT etc.) to leverage their large CSR budgets.
  • She/he will have to source corporates who are aligned in their CSR Vision and budgets for the sectors we run our programs.   
  • Engage with donor foundations, platforms, multinational funding organizations etc. and bring them on board to fund our programs.
  • Research and develop fundraising opportunities
  • Develop strategies to generate income from various other sources
  • Contact & Build network/relationship with potential individual donors (Especially HNIs) and raise funds for activities of the organization
  • Set financial targets for fundraising activities and develop strategies to attain them.
  • Maintain database of international and local donors.
  • As leaders in the Disability space in Karnataka, APD is often invited to participate in national and international events and as such the Dy. Director Fundraising will help lead the initiative with the Director Fundraising.
  • Work with creative teams to make and distribute collaterals. He/ She is also charged with the responsibility of organizing events to further the cause.
  • The Dy. Director - Fundraising will oversee quality, production and distribution of all communication and collaterals prepared by other Operations/ Programs team to ensure consistent brand positioning under guidance of Director Fundraising.
  • Improve and develop communication & collaterals for APD – Starting with APD Website, Digital assets and other collaterals - brochures, newsletters, annual report, Videos, posters etc.
  • Create and maintain a web presence.
  • Work with Operations and Finance teams to prepare project / Annual budgets and convert it to marketing proposals along with Director Fundraising.
  • Work with IT staff/vendors to design and maintain the Donor Relation Management (DRM) database
  • Research to find alternative strategy and resources for long term sustainability of the organization
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and board members to prioritize activities to meet organizational goals
