APD leverages its network with individuals and organizations to empower people with disabilities beyond the boundary of its campus.

It has facilitated the creation of Disabled People Organisations (DPOs) at the district level and Self-Help groups at the taluk level and in slums. These in turn have established linkages with local Justice forums (Lok Adalats), State Level Convention of People with Disability and other Community Based Organizations.

Provide opportunities for experience sharing and voicing issues
Motivate children, youth and women in respective areas to participate in capacity building programmes and support them in mainstreaming
Garner support for social entitlements and rights for people with disabilities at different levels
Base for expansion of programme areas
Provide medical care, educational and vocational skills to people with disabilities, especially children, youth and women.
Liaison with Panchayats, local governing bodies and Adalats as part of advocacy efforts
Lobby for improvement of physical accessibility in public places
