Prameela

‘I am Prameela, from a remote rural background in Andhra Pradesh. My parents are basically agriculturists from a very poor background. Making two ends meet was very difficult for my father. In spite of that he got me educated till PUC.
I somehow came to know of APD and after immense persuasion, finally convinced my parents me to send here. After coming here initially I felt like a fish out of water, because this was a new place. I knew only Telugu; I did not know the language. At this time APD came to my help and supported me mentally, they also guided me in spoken English Classes. Now, I have finished my diploma in computer and have been placed in a good IT company and I am earning a handsome salary.

Earlier I was dependent on my parents, today I am in a position to support my family. I am thinking of keeping my parents along with me her in Bangalore. I cannot believe my own eyes that this is happening. This has been possible only because of APD which has brought this change in my life.’

Mr. Abdul Rehman

I belong to a very poor family from Haveri district, my parents are basically agriculturists. I some how studied till PUC and was staying at home think that because of my inability I will have to stay at home. Even my parents also told me to go and work, but I was so shy that if some body insulted me about my condition, it hurt me. Think of this, I was whiling away my time staying at home. APD had organized a camp at Haveri. I happened to visit this place, as a coincidence and afterwards came to know about APD. I got very interested after that and after convincing my parents, got myself enrolled for the ITI training course. After coming here each day was a learning experience for me. I finished my ITI training with good academic marks. Through my determination and effort, I got a good position in a production unit. Now I am economically independent and I am also supporting my family.
